Criteria for Continuing Education Applicants

Term of Award
Winter Semester or Spring Term 2012
One scholarship in the amount of $500 will be awarded. Qualified undergraduate and graduate students may apply.

Undergraduate Applicant Requirements
A minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 at EMU and demonstrated financial need.
Applicants must be admitted to the University and admitted and enrolled in
one of the programs offered through Continuing Education.

Graduate Applicant Requirements
A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 at EMU and demonstrated financial need.
Applicants must be admitted to the University and admitted and enrolled in
one of the programs offered through Continuing Education.

Application Deadline: November 1, 2011.
The scholarship recipient will be notified by December 1, 2011.

* The Daryl L. Barton Scholarship requires that a student applicant must reside in the Metropolitan Detroit area (1. Detroit, 2. Wayne County, 3. Macomb and Oakland Counties).
** The Marz R.N. to B.S.N. Scholarship is limited to R.N. undergraduate students pursuing their Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
***The Waidner–Silverman Scholarship is limited to students enrolled in the EMU–Online Coordinated Program in Dietetics. A minimum GPA of 2.75 or better is required. Four scholarships are available to qualified students.
